Thank god, give praise to thee
For we could not hope to be as great as he
But then why would we want to be?
A great being who ignores a plea

All the power one could conceive
Never seen, but we should still believe
Coming and going in forms that deceive
Saying we don't understand and we're naïve

But whose fault is it that we don't know?
Why keep all the answers and tell us to go?
Go forth and learn for ourselves so that we may grow
Watching us live in pain trying to grasp an answer like snow

It's a learning experience, a trial to be praised
A race with a prize that'll leave you amazed
Even though by the end your eyes will be glazed
And you can't wait to die and be raised
